Artist Statement I am fascinated with things
that have aged over time;
an old painted fence,
old fishing boats,
or an old cement wall.
Because I like to
recreate this look
or feeling in my work
the ageing process needs to be accelerated.
I do this with paint, metalics, and other products
to create this vision.
I hope is that when someone looks
at one of my paintings
that they are fascinated by the surface
as well as what lies beneath.
I love to create a little bit of history with each piece. |
