Mary Hood

Hood

Mary Hood’s work is deeply rooted in her visual characterization of silence, time, space and identity. Her awareness and sensitivity to world events, personal events play out in work that is calm, introspective and patient as it allows the viewer time and space to observe and appreciate her work. The graphic simplicity is gentle yet powerful in it’s directness.
Mary holds a MFA from the University of Dallas and has exhibited nationally and internationally. She is currently a assistant professor of art in printmaking at Arizona State University at Tempe.
