Shimmering clouds of nearly white forms define a stark reality of dream like images in Bart’s large canvasses. The images are at the edge of our perception; we can’t quite define where it is that we are going in this mysterious place of escape. The impact of the scale compliments his work and serves to create this other world that is unknown. His work effuses emotional intensity while remaining somewhat withdrawn. You can see, but do you understand? He asks us to unravel his other place of visual mystery.
