Billy Colbert’s imagery reflect flashes of commercial and social icons through shimmering layers of color. He sets dramatic moods and piercing commentary that each of us can connect with. We see the development and expansion of his technique and themes as we look through the body of work.
Billy is an artist from Washington DC who has exhibited nationally at a number of galleries and museums and has received several grants and awards. Billy currently is teaching at a number of venues and Montgomery Junior College. He holds a MFA from the University of Delaware.
